Spring marks a striking seasonal shift in the Austrian Alps, where winter snow meets emerging alpine landscapes at Naturhotel Forsthofgut in Leogang. The five-star spa and family hotel in Salzburger Land, around an hour from Salzburg, offers ski-in ski-out access to the 270-kilometre Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn area, with lift operations scheduled to continue until 6th April 2026.
Milder temperatures and softened snow create ideal spring skiing conditions. Guests can make the most of crisp morning runs on groomed pistes before enjoying relaxed lunches on sun-soaked mountain hut terraces.
From 20th–29th March 2026, the White Pearl Mountain Days returns, transforming the region into what organisers describe as Europe’s premier alpine dancefloor. The event features live music, celebrity DJs, fine dining, and fitness sessions across mountain venues, combining skiing with entertainment and culinary experiences.
Evening music continues with Asitz Winter Nights, held every Tuesday from 8pm–10pm at the Asitzbräu near the top of the Asitz lift.
Easter Sunday falls on 5th April 2026. The hotel’s Easter Time at Forsthofgut package runs from 28th March – 12th April 2026, starting from €2,280 per adult for five nights. The rate includes half-board accommodation and a €50 voucher redeemable at the waldSPA, riding stables or one of the à la carte restaurants.
On Easter Sunday, a special brunch will be served from 7am–12 noon, priced at €55 per person. The event is open to both hotel guests and non-residents, and reservations are recommended.
Children can take part in the hotel’s 3Fs programme, Forsthofgut Family Fun, with activities designed for the changing season. Offerings include nursery slope skiing, valley and mountain excursions, deer feeding with owner Christoph Schmuck, egg painting, an Easter egg hunt, and an evening games show.
After Easter, the Family Time at Forsthofgut package runs from 12th April – 30th June 2026. Prices start from €1,350 per adult for four nights on a half-board basis. The package includes childcare from 9am–9pm daily, a full baby package and a programme of family activities.
Beyond skiing, guests have access to the hotel’s year-round natural swimming lake and the 5,700 square metre waldSPA wellness area, offering massages and relaxation facilities integrated with the surrounding alpine environment.
Naturhotel Forsthofgut combines spring skiing, family programming and wellness experiences during the seasonal transition in the Austrian Alps. Further details on March events are available via the Saalfelden Leogang tourism website.
