Myleene Klass MBE Unveils “My Taylor Lullabies” Featuring Family Collaboration

Myleene Klass MBE, the celebrated musician and broadcaster, is set to release a new chapter in her acclaimed lullabies series with “My Taylor Lullabies”, launching tomorrow, April 4, via independent label Stanley Park Music. This fourth instalment transforms Taylor Swift’s energetic hits into tranquil instrumental renditions, including “Shake It Off”, “Blank Space”, “I Knew You Were Trouble”, and “Never Getting Back Together”. The album joins Klass’s growing collection of relaxation-focused records, designed to soothe listeners of all ages.

The project is a family affair, with Klass’s daughters playing key roles in its creation. Ava, her eldest, contributes cello to the recordings, having previously featured in 2023’s “Jungle Lullabies”. Meanwhile, Hero adds trumpet to the rendition of “Shake It Off”, alongside keyboard elements. Their involvement elevates the album’s personal significance, reflecting a milestone in the Klass household.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be back with a new lullabies album, our fourth in the series,” Klass said. “This one is particularly special, also poignant as it feels like, in the manner of Taylor, we’re as a family entering a new era. My girls as always took part in the recording process (Ava on cello, Hero on trumpet and keys) which makes it special but also, as my son started school this year while my baby girl prepares to head off for uni, it’s very special to have this musical marker of how far we’ve come together as a family with the backdrop of Taylor’s songs having been there throughout all of their ages.”

Klass, awarded an MBE in 2018 for her services to music and charity, has long used her platform to blend artistry with family values. The selection process for “My Taylor Lullabies” was a collaborative effort with her daughters, who helped choose tracks that resonate personally and collectively. “There’s such an extensive catalogue to choose from, it was helpful to get my girls to choose together which songs mean something to us as a family as well as independently and to find a way to interpret them into a lullaby form for your little ones,” she explained. “How special to be able to introduce the newest members of your family to these songs as you in turn mark a new era.”

The lullabies series began with “My Lullabies: Motown”, followed by “Jungle Lullabies” and “My Lullabies: Christmas”, each showcasing Klass’s knack for reimagining popular music into calming soundscapes. Her latest release taps into Taylor Swift’s vast discography, a nod to the artist’s enduring influence across generations. Swift’s original versions, known for their bold lyrics and catchy hooks, are softened here into gentle arrangements suitable for bedtime or quiet moments.

Klass’s career spans decades, from her pop beginnings with Hear’Say to her work as a classical pianist and radio presenter. Her lullabies project, however, stands out as a passion-driven endeavour, merging her musical expertise with her role as a mother of three. The involvement of Ava and Hero underscores this, offering a glimpse into the family’s creative dynamic.

Previous albums in the series include:

  • “My Lullabies: Motown”, a soulful take on classic hits.
  •  “Jungle Lullabies”, featuring Ava’s cello and nature-inspired tones.
  • “My Lullabies: Christmas”, a festive collection of seasonal favourites.

Available from 4th April, “My Taylor Lullabies” promises to be both a musical treat and a heartfelt tribute to family milestones. For Klass, it’s a way to preserve memories while sharing Swift’s songs with a new audience, one lullaby at a time.
