Gladiators Star Zack George Launches Tool to Boost Children’s Mental and Physical Well-Being

Quick summary: Television personality and athlete Zack George has launched a holistic children’s development tool called the Glimmer Pad, which integrates structured journaling, emotional reflection, and positive habit building into daily family routines. Designed alongside certified confidence coaches to combat rising adolescent screen time, the physical diary utilizes micro moment reflection and mindful breathing techniques to actively lower stress and foster long term emotional resilience in young users. These proactive interventions carry vital importance for public policy and healthcare practice, providing an accessible framework that bridges the gap between educational well being curricula and home environments to improve the collective mental health of the next generation.

Zack George, best known as Steel from the hit television show Gladiators, has launched the Zactiv Glimmer Pad, a new tool designed to support children’s overall health and well-being.

The product builds on the success of Zactiv, George’s children’s well-being programme, which already reaches more than 5,000 children aged 5–11 in schools each month and is booked through to February 2028.

Known for combining movement, confidence-building, and mindset coaching, Zactiv has rapidly become a trusted name in children’s development.

The Glimmer Pad extends that experience into children’s everyday routines. Taking a holistic approach, the Glimmer Pad combines journalling, creative activities, and positive habit-building to support both mental and physical health. Children are guided through structured diary pages to reflect on their day, explore their emotions, and build healthy routines.

A central feature called “glimmers” encourages children to focus on small positive moments, helping them reduce stress and develop a more balanced outlook.

Daily prompts invite users to note small wins, identify emotions, and plan simple healthy habits such as drinking water or trying a new movement. This structured yet flexible approach aligns with broader efforts in UK schools to integrate well-being into the curriculum.

Built around the message Strong Body, Calm Mind, Happy Heart, the Glimmer Pad is available now from Glimmer Pad and Amazon UK, priced at £24.99.

The idea was shaped by George’s work with teachers in schools and by coaching tools from Happy Confident Kids, who trained George and Steve Orton as Happy Confident Kids Sports Coaches. Together they developed a bespoke school masterclass focused on confidence, mindful breathing, movement, hydration, and recognising small moments of joy.

As a CrossFit athlete, Gladiators competitor, and father, Zack George brings both professional credibility and personal insight to the product. “Health is not just about being active. It is about how you think, how you feel, and the habits you build every day. The Glimmer Pad is designed to support the whole child, inside and out,” George said.

The launch comes as concerns around children’s screen time and well-being continue to grow. Ofcom’s 2025 Children and Parents: Media Use and Attitudes report found that children aged 8–14 now spend almost three hours online every day, while separate UK research found that 81% of children aged 10–12 are already using social media platforms.

By encouraging reduced screen time and more mindful activities, the Glimmer Pad aims to help children build healthier daily patterns alongside confidence and emotional awareness.

With Zactiv already established in educational settings, the home-based Glimmer Pad creates continuity for children between school and family life. Availability through school initiatives, including parent-teacher associations, further extends its reach.
