ESCP Expands Master in Management with New Global Dual Degree and AI Skills Focus

ESCP Business School has welcomed the inaugural cohort of its new Global Master in Management, developed in collaboration with CEIBS, the China Europe International Business School. The launch builds on the established strengths of the ESCP Master in Management, which is known for its international, multi-campus structure and emphasis on adaptable professional skills.

“The MiM has long been built around flexibility and the hybridisation of skills, so we are not simply reacting to changes in technology and the job market,” says Professor Yannick Meiller, Associate Dean of the MiM programme at ESCP. “Our aim is to equip graduates with the ability to combine strong expertise across functions and sectors with new capabilities, including the effective and responsible use of AI. It is this combination that will help them adapt and set them apart throughout their careers.”

The fast-track dual degree takes students to Shanghai, Paris, London, and Zurich over 14 months. Taught entirely in English, it is designed for recent graduates seeking careers that connect European and Chinese business environments. Students complete core management courses in Shanghai, followed by specialisations and electives in Paris, further specialisation in London, and additional specialised study in Zurich. A global internship or work placement lasting six months or more is also part of the experience, bringing the overall duration to approximately 20 months, including professional practice.

Graduates receive two master’s degrees, one from ESCP and one from CEIBS, along with access to both institutions’ alumni networks. Corporate visits, case studies, and collaborative multicultural projects are central to the programme, giving students direct insight into business practices across both regions.

ESCP is Europe’s oldest business school and ranks among the world’s leading MiM programmes, placing sixth globally in the 2026 Financial Times Masters in Management ranking. CEIBS is recognised as a leading business school in Asia, with strong rankings for its MBA and Global EMBA programmes.

The first cohort began at the CEIBS Shanghai campus in late August 2026, with more than 70 students from 16 countries and an average age of 22. The wider ESCP MiM already attracts a high proportion of international students across its six European campuses in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin, and Warsaw. Students can study in two to five countries over two to three years, with more than 70 specialisations, dual degrees with partner institutions, and substantial opportunities for professional experience.

The new global pathway provides a more intensive route focused specifically on the Europe-China business axis, while retaining ESCP’s emphasis on practical learning and cross-cultural exposure.

The emphasis on combining functional knowledge with AI capabilities reflects wider shifts in business education. Many leading schools are integrating generative AI tools into teaching and assessment while prioritising human skills such as critical judgement, leadership, and intercultural communication. ESCP has expanded student access to AI platforms and introduced compulsory elements on the effective use of generative AI in business and studies. This approach reflects growing employer interest in graduates who can operate effectively across different markets and use technological tools responsibly alongside traditional management expertise.

Students interested in the classic or Global pathways can find full details of admissions, curriculum, and career outcomes on the ESCP website.
