Ed Sheeran personally autographed one of the guitars from his “Sheeran Guitars Mathematics Tour” collection, donated for the “G. Pasquinucci” Hospital in Massa Carrara, an Italian specialised centre for the diagnosis, care, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
An auction that is offering “notes of solidarity”. Starting from today, September 27th, one of Ed Sheeran’s guitars has been put up for sale, with the proceeds going to charity in support of the G. Pasquinucci Hospital in Massa Carrara, an Italian specialised centre for the diagnosis, care, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
The famous British singer personally autographed one of the guitars from his “Sheeran Guitars Mathematics Tour” collection, with the inscription “Play this guitar”. He donated it to Damiano Cavadi, a content creator from Rome, known for his ventures in which he asks global stars from various fields to donate an item to be auctioned, with the proceeds going to charity.
Ed Sheeran is the most recent addition to a list that also includes Jannik Sinner, who gave him an autographed tennis racket; Shakira, who signed a car door; Dustin Hoffman, who donated his famous hook from the namesake Captain Hook; and Russell Crowe, who signed a replica of the helmet that Maximus Decimus Meridius wore in “Gladiator”.
One of his videos with Messi, where the footballer signs a jersey through a car window after ten days of staking out and chasing him, has reached three and a half million views. The list also includes Pope Francis, from whom Cavadi received a zucchetto as a gift among the crowd in St Peter’s Square.
But Damiano’s latest adventure carries a special significance: after travelling to Lucca (Italy) last June to attend Ed Sheeran’s concert, Cavadi managed to infiltrate the backstage area and persuade the singer to autograph the guitar.
In agreement with the British artist, the instrument is now being auctioned starting from today on the Catawiki platform, with the proceeds going to the G. Pasquinucci Heart Hospital in Massa Carrara.
