Britallica Launches Stronger Than Yesterday Campaign to Tackle Isolation and Mental Health

London-based Britney Spears metal tribute act Britallica, billed as the world’s first act of its kind, is using its upcoming UK tour to raise money for mental health causes while encouraging fans to talk more openly about isolation and neurodivergence.

The band will launch its Stronger Than Yesterday campaign in Norwich on 19 September 2026 at The Brickmakers, before carrying the initiative across the rest of its tour dates. Fans at participating shows will be able to buy £5 Stronger Than Yesterday wristbands. For every wristband sold, £1 will go to Mind and £1 to Samaritans, with all donations processed through Work for Good.

The campaign is designed around the idea that mental health difficulties do not look the same for everyone. For some people, that may mean anxiety or depression, while others experience loneliness, stress, or burnout. Neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD or autism, can also face extra challenges in environments that are not built to accommodate different ways of thinking and processing the world.

Britallica said: “Music gives people somewhere to belong. At our gigs we see people from completely different backgrounds standing next to each other, singing the same songs and looking out for each other. Stronger Than Yesterday is about taking that sense of community beyond the stage. Mental health isn’t one size fits all, and neither are the people who come to our shows. If somebody leaves a Britallica gig feeling a little less alone, while we’ve also raised money for two organisations doing incredibly important work, then the campaign has achieved something worthwhile.”

The band has been careful to stress that the initiative is not suggesting that simply becoming “stronger” is the answer to mental health difficulties. Instead, the focus is on encouraging people to look out for each other, talk openly, and recognise when someone might need support.

Britallica reworks Britney Spears songs, including Toxic, Stronger, and …Baby One More Time, into full-band metal arrangements known for high-energy performances that blend pop anthems with heavy riffs and powerful vocals. The campaign name draws on one of Spears’ most recognisable lyrics, giving it a new meaning in the context of mental health.

Mind is a leading mental health charity in England and Wales, providing information, support, and advice through helplines and local services while campaigning to improve understanding of and access to care. Samaritans offers emotional support to anyone in distress or at risk of suicide, running a free 24-hour helpline available every day of the year across the UK and Ireland.

Research and community programmes have shown that shared live music experiences can help reduce feelings of isolation by fostering social connection, boosting mood, and creating a sense of belonging among people from varied backgrounds. Through Stronger Than Yesterday, Britallica hopes to draw on the community already built around its shows to raise funds while reinforcing its message that whatever form someone’s struggles take, they should not have to feel alone in facing them.
